1. A Statement Stand-Alone Bath with a View of the Stars
The star of this space is the uniquely shaped standalone bath, raised on a step and placed directly beneath a large Velux window. This creates a feeling of separation from the rest of the room, almost like a private retreat within the bathroom itself.
A stylish industrial-style pendant light hangs above, drawing the eye and adding a soft glow in the evenings. Whether soaking in the bath under the stars or letting in natural daylight during the day, this feature brings a real wow factor to the space.
2. Floating Vanity Unit & Toilet with Hidden Extras
To keep the space sleek and easy to clean, we fitted a floating toilet and vanity unit. This design not only enhances the modern, luxurious look, but also offers practical storage beneath the basin—perfect for keeping clutter at bay.
The vanity unit was custom-colour matched to the ceiling for a seamless, designer look. And with LED under-cabinet lighting, the entire area glows with soft warmth in the evenings, reflecting beautifully off the mosaic floor tiles.
3. A Walk-In Shower with Spa-Like Features
A separate walk-in shower gives the customer flexibility and function without compromising on luxury. This space features both a waterfall-style overhead shower and a handheld shower head—ideal for everything from relaxing spa showers to practical cleaning or aiding those with reduced mobility.
Paired with floor-to-ceiling tiling and a minimalist glass screen, this shower area feels both open and indulgent.
4. Thoughtful Lighting for Mood and Function
Lighting plays a big role in any luxury bathroom renovation, and this project was no exception. We used a combination of lighting types to create a flexible, layered effect:
- A feature pendant light over the bath
- Warm LED strip lights under the floating shelves and vanity unit
- Functional recessed ceiling LEDs for bright, even illumination
- And even a Bluetooth ceiling speaker for music while you soak!
This mixture allows the customer to switch between task lighting and relaxing ambience, depending on the time of day.
5. Underfloor Heating for Everyday Comfort
The bathroom also includes electric underfloor heating beneath the beautifully tiled floor a luxury that’s practical too. Not only does it take the edge off chilly mornings, it also removes the need to cover the cold floor with bath mats, letting the feature tiling shine through.
We used the same tile throughout the bathroom, cut into different shapes for the walls and mosaic floor, creating visual consistency with a high-end finish.
